Use of flannel

Jan 14, 2023

Flannel is suitable for making trousers, jackets, children's clothes, etc., and the thin ones can also be used as the fabric of shirts and skirts. The raw material is 64 counts of fine wool, and the warp and weft are more than 12 metric counts of combed wool yarn. The fabric has plain and twill weave, and the handle is plump and the fleece is fine after shrinking and fuzzing. The weight of the fabric is about 260~320 g/m2, and that of the thin fabric is about 220 g/m2. Most of them are dyed with loose fibers, mainly black and white mixed with different shades of gray or milk white, light coffee and other colors. There are also plain colors and stripes, checks and other patterns. Flannel can also be made of combed wool yarn or cotton yarn as warp and combed wool yarn as weft. Sometimes combed wool yarn is also blended with a small amount of cotton or viscose.
